911 Dispatcher
Operates emergency communications equipment, which receives and dispatches police, fire, and emergency medical calls via telephone and electronic dispatch equipment. Also, operates various online data entry terminals. Considerable ability to remain emotionally stable during periods of emergency and stress. Ability to extract information from distraught callers. Also, operates various online data entry terminals. The Communications Center is a 24/7/365 operation, and staff will be required to work nights/weekends/holidays, and mandatory overtime. Regular attendance and punctuality, along with preparing to commence work at designated locations on the assigned or scheduled days and hours, is expected. Responsible for providing truthful and accurate written and verbal communications. Candidates who have completed the "Fundamentals of Emergency Dispatch" through the technical college will be given priority consideration. Candidates who are selected in the process will be required to pass a typing test in order to continue their advancement in the recruitment process.
$2,000 Sign-on Bonus after satisfactorily completing 6-month ($500), 12-month ($500), and 18-month ($1000) periods.
